Future Plans
What We're Trying To Do
• Phoebe Washer's Foundation for the arts is being created so that the things which Phoebe believed in can live on in her name and the resources it creates will help facilitate the importance of art in other young peoples lives.
• Phoebe's life represented what is beautiful when a young person believes in and loves art, when they are allowed to express themselves, to challenge themselves-- to create meaningful works, but also live their life in a fulfilling, artistic way. We believe (as well as phoebe did) that the creative seed germinates early and so want to help schools who need art supplies and/or funds to purchase specific needs. We also believe that it can be stymied as deserving young adults do not have the ability to go forward with their dreams after highschool and so would like to create a fund for scholarships to allow these kids to continue their artistic dreams.
• We will choose california elementary schools to donate art supplies
• We will choose deserving recipients for a scholarship to be able to attend an art school.
• We are still in the developing stages of our Foundation and will outline this in a much clearer way as we proceed
Legal Stuff
• Currently we are in the process of creating a Foundation that will qualify for 501c3 status (a charitable foundation). We will be incorporated by July 20th and the application for 501c3 will be submitted soon after that. Deduction status when obtained will be backdated to July 20th.
